Lady Jane has just been interviewed by ITN North East television, on her memories of The Coronation in 1953. She told us that as she was only still a Teenager, she was very nervous regards the role she was with the other five Maids of honour to our just about to be crowned Queen Elizabeth the Second. Elizabeth turned to all her Maids in Waiting and uttered the famous known question, ‘Ready girls’?. It was a very gentle calm interview, by Helen Ford, who is our well known Tyne Tees , presenter.
