Peter Basch

Peter Basch was born in Germany, the son of Austrian parents famous in the German film industry. His family moved to Los Angeles in the 1930s where Basch worked as the assistant of Laszlo Willinger. In 1945 Basch moved to New York and built a successful career as a magazine photographer. He produced photographs of many celebrities, artists, performers, dancers, actors and glamour-girls in America and Europe. His work appeared in many magazines such as Life, Look and Playboy.
