Journalist, polemicist and broadcaster, famous for his controversial views. During his long career, Muggeridge worked for the Manchester Guardian and the Daily Telegraph before becoming editor of Punch magazine (1952-7). He became a household name as a television presenter, hosting Panorama amongst a wide variety of programmes throughout the 1960s and 1970s.
