Mary Wilson is a poet and wife of former British prime minister, Harold Wilson. Born Gladys Mary Baldwin, she married Harold Wilson in 1940. Mary Wilson's life as wife of the prime minister was parodied in a long-running Private Eye column, 'Mrs Wilson's Diary', which raised the profile of both her and the magazine.
