Dame Barbara Windsor (née Deeks)

Windsor came to fame for her role on stage in Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be (1960) and on film in Sparrows Can't Sing (1963), a performance that won her a BAFTA nomination. She starred in several 'Carry On' films including Carry on Doctor (1968) and Carry on Camping (1969) and played Peggy Mitchell in the BBC TV series EastEnders for nineteen years.
