He was the father of the celebrated barrister Sir William Garrow, for whom see the ODNB: "Garrow, Sir William (1760–1840), barrister and judge, was born on 13 April 1760 at Monken Hadley, Middlesex, the youngest son of David Garrow (1715–1805), an ordained minister of the Church of England who maintained a boarding-school at Monken Hadley, and his wife, Sarah Lowndes, of Camberwell, Surrey...."
