I suppose that he wrote the article "Notes on Iconography in Northern Germany" published in The Gentleman's Magazine Jan. 1851, pp. 56-64 signed J. G. Waller, Esq., accompanied by two illustrations. According to WBIS (British Biographical Archive (BBA)), following Allibone, Samuel Austin: A Critical Dictionary of English Literature, and British and American Authors, Living and Deceased, from the Earliest Accounts to the Middle of the Nineteenth Century : Containing Thirty Thousand Biographies and Literary Notices, with Forty Indexes of Subjects. - Philadelphia [et al.] : Childs & Peterson [et al.], 1859-1871. - 3 vols) he was "archaeologist; draughtsman".
