Godfree won five Olympic medals, competing in both singles and doubles events. These included a gold for the women's doubles at Antwerp in 1920, playing with Winifred McNair. She won silver and bronze medals at the 1924 Paris Olympics, the last Games to feature tennis until it was re-instated as an Olympic event at Seoul in 1988. Godfree reached three Wimbledon finals, winning twice. In 1926, Kitty and Leslie Godfree became the only husband-and-wife team to win the mixed doubles at Wimbledon.
