Miss Isabella Franks was the daughter of 'Moses Franks, of Teddington, co. Middlesex, who was one of the leading members of the Duke's Place Synagogue, and one of the first Ashkenazi members of the Board of Deputies. His daughter and heir, Isabella, in 1787 married William H. Cooper, who became fourth baronet in 1801'. He was appointed Chaplain in Ordinary to George III. Moses Franks is the sitter in an engraving by S. H. Gimber (after a portrait by Sir Joshua Reynolds of 1761). His wife Phila Franks was also painted by Reynolds on her 21st birthday, in 1762 (now lost).
