The seventh elected Prime Minister of Pakistan. Born in Lahore, into an influential landowning family from the Punjab, he was educated at Aitchison College, Lahore. He completed his masters degree in London (1916) and returned to India to practice law at the Lahore High Court. Entering politics he was appointed Minister of Health and Education in the Punjab Provincial Cabinet. He served as High Commissioner for India in London (1936-1941). An important politician during the Freedom Movement and a prominent figure after the independence of Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan, keen to introduce Pakistan to other Muslim countries, sent Noon as it's first diplomat abroad. His political and administrative experience served him well in his one man delegation.

Sir Firoz Khan Noon [1] (7 May 1893 [2] – 9 December 1970 [3]), KCSI [4], KCIE [5], OStJ [6], was the seventh Prime Minister of Pakistan, (16 December 1957 - 7 October 1958) [7]. Earlier he assisted Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, in his constitutional struggle to establish an independent country.
Firoz Khan was born in the village of Hamoka [8] in Khushab District of Punjab. After his initial schooling in the town of Bhera [9] and Lahore, [10] he was admitted to Wadham College, Oxford and graduated in 1916. [11] Following his call to the Bar at the Inner Temple in 1917,[12] he returned to Punjab and practised law. He was elected to the Punjab Legislative Council in 1920 [13] and remained a member for sixteen years, nearly ten of these as Minister. [14] He was appointed the High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom (1936-1941), [15] before serving as a member of the Cabinet of the Viceroy of India (1941-1945). [16] He was also a member of Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s War Cabinet (1944-1945) [17] and later was selected to represent India at the United Nations, (1945) [18]
Following the Independence of Pakistan in 1947, Firoz Khan was elected to the first Constituent Assembly of the country. [19] Subsequently he held the positions of Ambassador Plenipotentiary (1947) [20], Governor of East Pakistan, [21] the Chief Minister of Punjab (1953 - )[22] and Prime Minister. After the post was abolished in 1958, Khan withdrew from politics. He authored Wisdom From Fools (1940) a book of stories for children, India (1941), Kashmir (1957), Scented Dust (1965) a novel and From Memory (1966).
