Thomas Parkinson also painted a portrait of the blind Irish playwright, John O'Keeffe (1747-1833). Note of this is made in, Recollections of a Life by Himself, by John O'Keeffe 1826, Volume II, page 92 reads the following:
Mr Parkinson also took a very good likeness of me as large as life, in a straw hat lined with green.

Thomas Parkinson also painted a portrait of surgeon William Balmain (1762-1803) chief surgeon at New South Wales from 1796-1803), and commissioned sometime between August and November 1803. The likeness was engraved in mezzotint by Richard Earlom (1743-1822). The undated had hand coloured mezzotint is 35.6 x 28.3 cm. and held by the National Library of Australia, PIC drawer 7256 #S9504.
