President of the Getty Oil Company (from 1947) and Founder of the J. Paul Getty Museum, Malibu, California. Getty devoted much of his vast personal fortune to collecting art and made Britain his home from the early 1950s. Publications include How to be Rich and Joys of Collecting (both 1965).
