Concert and Operatic Bass Vocalist. Professor of Singing at the Royal Academy of Music from 1928. Principal Bass at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden and the Beecham Opera Company. Also appeared at many other leading festivals including the Handel Festival (1906, 1909, 1912, 1920 and 1923) and the Three Choir Festivals (1907-18).
