I live in Eastbourne and have been captioning old photos of the town and its environs. I came across photos of Weircombe Cottage (demolished circa.1980) and a photo of Winnifred Barnes.
Needless to say I was captivated by her angelic appearance and have researched into her career. I was delighted to come across the pod cast of
the "Edge" and it was so surreal to hear her talking and singing!! It really feels that I know her! She really was a great star in the in WW1 years. I have also been researching into Joseph Colne, he to was a considerable star in America and also in England,
