Beth Orton

Singer-songwriter. Born in Norfolk. Orton moved to East London with her family at the age of 14. Her musical career began with collaborations with William Orbit. Her first album Trailer Park was released in 1996 and has since been followed by Central Reservation (1999) and Daybreaker (2002). Received a Brit Award for Best British Female in 2000 and has been nominated for Best British Female Solo Artist for the 2003 Brits. Released a career retrospective album Pass In Time (September 2003) featuring collaborations with Terry Callier and The Chemical Brothers.
