Actress. Stirling, the daughter of Dame Diana Rigg and Archibald Stirling studied History of Art at University of Edinburgh before starting her acting career at the National Youth Theatre. Made her first film appearance in 1998 with Still Crazy. Roles in films Maybe Babyand Complicity (both 2000) followed before starring opposite Mira Sorvino in the romantic comedy The Triumph of Love (2001). Television roles have included two Andrew Davies' adaptations, an updated Othello (2001), and a lead performance as Nan Astley in Sarah Waters' Tipping the Velvet (2002) .
