He was my great x2 grandfather and, whilst being compared to King Louis XIV of France, was highly regarded amongst his European contemporaries for his wealth and power. The King of the Akyem Kingdom of Ghana, he leaves behind a legacy in his descendants.

This man was my great grandfather and he believed greatly in the advocacy of peace amongst his people and abroad. Knighted for his achievements in contributing to the flourishing of the Gold Coast even whilst in the Commonwealth, he furthered his efforts by instilling academic discipline amongst generations by playing significant roles in setting up schools such as Achimota School or College (formerly Prince of Wales School) in the then Gold Coast, now Ghana.
