Susan Mary Woodford-Hollick, Lady Hollick

Chair of the Arts Council, London since 2000. Lady Hollick was educated at the University of Sussex. She began her career as a Producer and Director of Granada TV's World in Action (1969-81) and later became the Founding Commissioning Editor for multicultural Programmes for Channel 4 TV (1980-4). She served as Chairman of the Index on Censorship (1993-2000). Lady Hollick is the wife of Clive Hollick who was created Baron Hollick, Life Peer in 1991 and the daughter of Trinidadian-born, RAF Squadron leader and Judge Ulric Cross. She was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2011 Birthday Honours for services to the arts.
