Simon Louis Jackson

(1972-), Judoka; Paralympian

Unbeaten in more than 150 senior fights, Jackson became the first person to win a Paralympic gold medal in judo after the sport was introduced to the Paralympic schedule at the games in Seoul in 1998. Won gold at the 1988 Seoul Paralympics, the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Jackson also won bronze at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. A partially sighted athlete, he dominated the domestic, European and international judo scene for more than 15 years.
