Amir Khan

Bolton-born Khan began boxing in 1995. Won a Gold medal in the Junior Olympics and European Championships and was awarded Best Cadet Boxer of the Year. In April 2004 Khan won the Strandja Cup in Plovdiv, Bulgaria making him the first Briton to qualify for the Athens Olympics. He is Britain's youngest Olympic Lightweight boxer since Colin Jones competed in 1976. Khan won the Silver medal in the lightweight boxing division in the Athens 2004 Olympics. Despite declaring that he would pursue a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Khan turned professional in 2005. Since then, he has won nearly all of his professional fights.
