Terry Johnson is a playwright, director and photographer. His first play, Insignificance, premiered at the Royal Court Theatre during Max Stafford-Clark's tenure in 1982 which won him the most promising new playwright award. Other work includes stage play Hitchcock Blonde (2003) and TV film Not Only But Always (2004), the latter of which was nominated for a BAFTA and saw Rhys Ifans win a BAFTA for his portrayal of Peter Cook.
