The place here is not Derbyshire. Amelia was the daughter of the 7th Earl of Derby, named after the West Derby Hundred, one of the six subdivisions of the historic county of Lancaster. At that time the Stanleys lived at Lathom House near Ormskirk which is where Amelia was born.
