My paternal Grandfather, Albert Pointon, work for Sir Edwin for many years. Firstly in Barlaston, Staffordshire. Before the second world Sir Edwin then went to live at Hare Hill in Cheshire. Some time later he then bought a property, "Merlewood" in Cuddington, Cheshire. My Grandfather was Sir Edwin's gardener and I think at one stage his chauffeur.
