Amelia Curran

Amelia Curran was an Irish painter. She met Percy Shelley in 1810 and the two remained friends for the rest of their lives. In 1812, Curran went with Shelley to Ireland as his travelling companion. She later moved to Rome, where she developed a close friendship and correspondence with his second wife, Mary. After a few years living in Naples and Rome, Curran returned to Rome, where she lived for the rest of her life.
