(1796-1861), Radical politician; MP for Hertford and Finsbury

MP for Finsbury, 1834-1861, Duncombe was admired both for his radical politics and dandyish personal style. His association with Chartism began in 1840 when he unsuccessfully asked Parliament to pardon John Frost and the Newport insurgents.
