Joseph ('Jo') Grimond, Baron Grimond

Joseph Grimond served as Leader of the Liberal Party from 1956 until 1967, during which time he transformed the party, helping to increase representation in Westminster from six to twelve MPs. He was created a life peer in 1983 and took the title Baron Grimond of Firth.
