Poet, essayist and journalist; daughter of T.J. Thompson, and sister of the artist Lady Butler; married the journalist, Wilfrid Meynell, 1877, helping him to write and to edit magazines; her first volume of poems, published 1893, established her reputation; noted for her beauty and charm.
