Sir Geoffrey Boycott

(1940-), Cricketer

Sitter in 2 portraits
Geoffrey Boycott is a former cricketer for Yorkshire and England. In a career spanning almost a quarter of a century, Boycott established himself as one of England's finest opening batsmen, and was for many years a key feature of England's Test batting line up. Boycott was a Wisden Cricketer of the Year for 1965, and made 108 Test match appearances for England, ending his career in 1982 with over 8,000 runs. He followed his playing career by becoming an outspoken and sometimes controversial cricket commentator on both radio and television.
