Will Hay
(1888-1949), ActorSitter in 4 portraits
Comedian and actor. Hay began his career as a music-hall mimic. He became well known for his character the Schoolmaster Comedian which he also performed on radio at a later date. He is best known, however, for his disreputable appearance and anarchic characterisations in films like Boys will be Boys (1935) and Oh Mr Porter! (1937).
