(1952-), CricketerSir Isaac Vivian Alexander ('Viv') Richards
Sitter in 1 portrait
Born in Antigua, Viv Richards made his Test début for the West Indies in 1974 and joined his close friend Ian Botham playing for Somerset that year. He stayed with the county for 12 years. He and Botham departed together over the acrimonious ending of Richards' contract. He was the West Indies' greatest ever run-maker and under his leadership from 1985 to 1991, they never lost a series. He retired in 1991.
