A variant of this Beaton portrait (same dress, jewellery and backdrop) appears in his scrapbooks, a cutting from 'Eve, The Lady's Pictorial' (dated 14 Sept 1927), so cannot be 1930. Likely to be 1927 as this was when her second novel 'Mr Fortune's Maggot' appeared -- to great critical acclaim...
