In Aberdeen there was a local priest named Father Sutherland. He helped the Sisters of Nazareth to establish a house of charity in that city in 1860 and ignored the slander that was uttered against the Sisters of Nazareth by an envoy of the Little Sisters of the Poor from the Motherhouse of St. Pern near Rennes, France. Without him, this secondary house in Hammersmith could not have been set up.
