Miranda Richardson

Richardson attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and began her career in repertory theatre, making her West End debut in 1980 in Moving at the Queen's Theatre. Her film debut in Dance with a Stranger (1985) won her Best Actress at the Evening Standard British Film Awards. Known for her memorable performance as Queen Elizabeth I, 'Queenie', in the the British comedy series Blackadder, she has since appeared on stage at the Royal Court and the National Theatre and in films including The Crying Game (1992) and Made in Dagenham (2010).
