Caroline Bray

Caroline Bray was a children's writer. Her first book, Physiology for Common Schools, was published in 1860. In 1841 she met Mary Ann Evans (George Eliot) and the two became close friends. Bray painted a portrait of Evans, and of her father, Robert Evans.
