Educated at Harrow, and destined to become an accountant, Wysard decided instead to pursue an artistic career. He published drawings in all of the fashionable journals of the day, including the Tatler, the Bystander, the Sphere and Harper's Bazaar. After serving in the Second World War, Wysard became editor of Harper's Bazaar.
