Barry Marsden

Marsden took up photography at the age of 30 in 1981 after taking a degree in painting at Loughborough College of Art. His portrait of the classical composer James MacMillan appeared on the poster for the 1997 NPG exhibition Variations on a Theme while his iconic portrait of Jarvis Cocker, one of many pop commissions for Vox magazine, featured strongly in the 1999 Icons of Pop exhibition.
