Ishbel Myerscough

Artist of 9 portraits
Painter, studied at Glasgow and the Slade Schools of Art. Myerscough is three times a minor prize-winner in the National Portrait Gallery's annual BP Portrait Award competition, and the first prize winner in 1995. As a result of this she was commissioned to paintHelen Mirren's and Sir Willard Wentworth White's portrait for the collection. In 1992 she painted Graham Gooch's portrait for the Marylebone Cricket Club. Myerscough paints entirely from life and usually has numerous sittings with her subjects.
