The daughter of artist Patrick Heron, Susanna Heron spent her childhood in Cornwall, and studied at the Central School of Art and Design. She lives and works in London. Since 1995 Heron has become recognised internationally for her collaborations with architects and for her large-scale site-specific work. She was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1999.
