Morrissey

(1959-), Musician and singer and songwriter for 'The Smiths'

Morrissey (Steven Patrick Morrissey)

Sitter in 7 portraits
Lead Singer and lyricist, Morrissey was the inspiration with guitarist Johnny Marr, of The Smiths until embarking on a solo career in 1987. His debut solo album Viva Hate, including the single Suedehead, entered the UK charts at No. I in March 1988. No attempt to re-enter the world of popular music has been better received until Irish Blood, English Heart, his first release from his hugely successful solo album You Are The Quarry (2004), marking a dramatic return for the darkly -romantic and politically anarchistic singer-songwriter.
