Alan Jeremy Jeffcoat Dick

24 April 2021, 09:38

Known as Daphne, she was my maternal grandmother. Born on 12th Dec 1891 to William Edward Stirling Milliken Napier and Janet Catherine Reid in St Kitts, West Indies, where her parents had a sugar cane plantation. Married Algernon Cautley Jeffcoat in Chelsea in 1928 (his third wife). Their only child, Ann Napier Jeffcoat, was my mother, born on 31st March 1929.
So this portrait was taken a year after that.
Daphne died on 18 Jun 1979 in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.
She has 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as of April 2021.
