In fact he was Master of the Musicians Company and was a long-standing member of the choir at St Paul’s Cathedral. He was born in 1848 and died in 1922.

Lord Mayor of London 1919-1920. Master of Clockmakers Livery Company. Born in Henley. Older brother of Canon Arthur Cooper, Vicar of Filey, Yorkshire, from 1880 to 1935.
