FREDERICK GEORGE GEGG was born in Chedworth, Gloucestershire In late 1871 and died in Evesham, Worcestershire on 20 Dec 1925.
He grew up in Cirencester and in the 1891 census for Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire he appears in Park Street, lodging as a “Photographic Artist”. He later had a studio and workshop in Sheep Street in 1893 and is recorded in Kelly’s Directory operating in Stow in 1897 and 1902. At some point he concurrently had the studio in Gloucester at 39 Eastgate Street ( See 1894 Kelly’s Directory). From around 1899 he also took a studio in Evesham at 18 High Street. He seems to have given up his other studios and settled in Evesham for the rest of his life - probably shortly after his marriage in 1898. He carried on his well respected and successful business in Evesham until his death in 1925.
