Nick Hornby is the author of several internationally best-selling books including the football-themed memoir Fever Pitch (1992), High Fidelity (1995) and About a Boy (1998), all of which were made into successful feature films. His fiction often focuses on the role of men in contemporary life, their obsessions and relationships. As a screenwriter, Hornby has adapted Lynn Barber's memoir, An Education (2009) and Colm Tóibin's novel Brooklyn (2015), for both of which he was Oscar-nominated.
