Desmond was my father in law. 75 years ago he was in Japan for the Japanese surrender and witnessed the atomic bomb detonating over Hiroshima(?). Desmond’s obituary appeared in newspapers at the time of his death. He is survived by my wife, Louise, and her elder brother and sister.
