Comedienne, actress and writer. Tate first came to prominence with her award-winning BBC comedy sketch series The Catherine Tate Show (2004-9). Other notable television appearances include the series Big Train (1998-2002), Wild West (2004) and Doctor Who (2006-9). Her theatre and film work includes A Servant to Two Masters (2000), Some Girl(s) (2005), Starter for 10 (2006) and Gulliver's Travels (2010). In 2011 she starred in a West End production of Much Ado About Nothing.
