William Heelis
(1871-1945), Solicitor; husband of Beatrix PotterSitter in 1 portrait
Heelis was a solicitor from Hawkshead. He met Beatrix Potter when he acted for her in the purchase of Castle Farm in the Lake District village of Near Sawrey in 1909. The couple settled there after their marriage.
