Jeannette Altwegg
(1930-2021), Ice skater; OlympianSitter in 1 portrait
Won bronze in ladies' singles figure skating at the 1948 St. Moritz Winter Olympics and went on to win gold in the same event at the next Winter Olympics in Oslo in 1952. The following year she was awarded the CBE on the recommendation of Sir Winston Churchill, in acknowledgement of her contributions to figure skating.
