Iman Mohamed Abdulmajid

Born in Somalia, Iman was talent-spotted by Peter Beard in Kenya in the late 1970s. Beard helped launch her career as a fashion model in New York in 1976, where she formed creative partnerships with leading photographers such as Norman Parkinson, Richard Avedon and Francesco Scavullo. In 1992 Iman married David Bowie, with whom she has one daughter.
