Competed in hockey at the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Olympics. Won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. David Luckes and Simon Clegg are the original visionaries behind London's bid to host the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Luckes, a logistics expert and Olympic hockey player, produced the document which assessed London's feasibility as a host city in 2000. Luckes was Head of Sport Competition for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
