(1982-), Wife of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge

Sitter in 16 portraits
Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, now Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, was born in Berkshire and attended Marlborough College. She studied at the British Institute in Florence, before enrolling at the University of St Andrews in Fife to study History of Art. She married Prince William at Westminster Abbey on 29 April 2011. Their son His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge was born in July 2013, followed by Princess Charlotte in May 2015 and most recently Prince Louis in April 2018. She is patron of seven charities, including the National Portrait Gallery. Her first solo public engagement was the opening of the Lucian Freud Portraits exhibition. Her keen interest in portraiture and photography saw her collaborate with the Gallery on the Victorian Giants: The Birth Of Art Photography exhibition (2018).
